Today is my birthday. My dad always told me that you're only as old as you feel, so I'm 20 years old, ahem, with 20 something years experience. :)
So what's in store for this day? Well it will be celebrated among family and friends. Of course there will be my traditional white birthday cake with pineapple filling and strawberries on top.
Each time my birthday rolls around I can't help think of all the things I want to accomplish in this coming year. All of the moments I want to share and embrace. The most important question is what will I be making on the creative end?
Most creative projects are spontaneous and passionately followed. Like when I'm in the fabric store and decide to make each child a new comforter, what about matching hat and fingerless gloves? What about the kids creative moments ? The ones where we learn how to build a treehouse or Chitty-Chitty bang bang..... You know,.....those creative moments. Like those pregnant ideas that capture the imagination moments.
This is exactly how I felt when I saw Debbie New's coracle. I've never knitted lace. I've never made a coracle but I really must learn how. I just think this would look so neat up on the lake at the Stuga. I do believe that a knitted coracle is on my "to do list" of passionate projects. Maybe I should try it in canvas first.:)
