First let me tell you about the post that isn't. Yesterday I spent all this time writing about my new ipad2 and the incredible things it can do. Included was a list of great Apps. When I was finished I clicked on publish and that's when my post got lost in cyber-space. It's never happened to me in 4 years of blogging and so I just have to chalk it up to fate that it wasn't meant to be. Hopefully soon I'll rewrite that post for y'all.
Now other news,
On Sundays, when the kids were little, we use to meet over at the Roseman's for brunch also known as the ultimate Nosh. Barry and I would cook dish after dish, and there would be 5 or more cute kids running around. As the kids got older our Noshes got more spread out until finally we went to dinner on birthdays and celebrated holidays.
This Spring break the kids organized a "Family Dinner" to bring back the Noshes of yor. They requested their favorite dishes from each one of us and we had a great time.
There is always a lot of bantering between Rosebros and B kids.
A frequently requested dish, lentils and rice with yogurt.
There is also many silly moments. For a couple of years we had the table crab. If you wanted to talk or if you were speaking you had to have the table crab in your possession or sitting by your plate. After this past summer the table crab got lost, maybe he went out to sea. Now I see we have a table turtle and evidently one is to wear it on their head while speaking.
Did I mention there is a lot of food?
As some of the kids have gone off to college and some are preparing to graduate high school and head in the Univeristy direction, they embrace a sense of nostalgia about their childhoods. I've seen each one of them in turn ask to recreate a happy childhood moment. I'm so glad tha "Family Dinner" is one of them.
What are some of the happy moments your children love?
